PHOTOSENSITIVITY |
||||||
| Eklavya suffered from photosensitive sight. How does such a person actually see when he is photosensitive? Research on that was done and tests were done to see the length and breadth of what this meant cinematically. An eye specialist was consulted and shown these tests. So somewhere between actual fact and a cinematic license for the audience was decided upon. But as the entire film started taking shape, it was felt that this should not be stressed too much upon. There was a possibility that instead of giving the audience Eklavya’s point of view (quite literally), it might distract the audience from the actual story. So the effect was diluted and then diluted some more and finally in many of the initial list of sequences done away all together. So it was used finally only in sequences where it could communicate the problem without distracting from the story. As in all sequences the struggle was to make it a real and not an ‘effect’ shot | ||||||
