February 16 2007 - Vidhu Vinod Chopra's Eklavya – The Royal Guard has released to audiences across the world.

Coming from the Producer of the Munnabhai series and Parineeta, and the director of films such as Parinda, 1942 A Love Story and Mission Kashmir, Eklavya is a highly anticipated film with the promise of being great cinema as all Vinod Chopra productions are.

In what was probably amongst the first instances of detailed visual development in Indian cinema, Mumbai based Animagic India worked closely with Vinod Chopra Films on Eklavya...

In this special project the studio has also worked on Storyboarding almost the entire film, created a three minute long animated title sequence, as well as conceived and executed the key VFX scenes in the movie!!

Kick-starting a special series of case-studies on Animagic's involvement in Eklavya, we begin with Animagic India Director Chetan Sharma talking about the visual development work and storyboarding thru an exclusive peek into his Ekalavya sketchbooks with never before seen behind the scenes pictures.

Animagic concludes its production diaries of Ekalavya with this extended case study of their creation of the animated prologue and the key vfx sequences.. Animagic directors Chetan Sharma, Gayatri & Sumant Rao along with their team share with us the thought processes & excitement in bringing a new aesthetic in the use of animation in Indian cinema.
