How was it on Location?
The film was shot on a start to finish schedule of 45-50 days across locales in Rajasthan. EKALAVYA was unique in that all creative heads from all departments were present at every point in the shoot. The composer, lyricist, the editor who was constantly putting together a rough cut of the scenes shot, Nitin Desai the art director and of course Sumant as the VFX Supervisor…
Eventually Gayatri joined us there too. The whole unit was really like a big extended family of some of the best talents in the country.. we had a sense of doing something together.. a mission and we did it.
The storyboards of every scene continued to be modified till the day it was actually shot…sometimes they were modified according to changes made in another sequence.
While I really had no experience of a live film shoot, I often jumped in and took charge of some crazy responsibities!!
