    Another important decision was whether to have live action or not …this was explored in the initial storyboards and Vinod felt that it was best that the film began mysteriously and ominously told the story of the myth to the audience with images that drew them into the film which begins with the dramatic murder in the palace…
Any visual of actors in the prologue would have lessened the impact of the first sequence, which is also where we are introduced to the Ekalavya of the film.. In fact when we do not see who the people who are talking, it makes us uneasy on some level, setting us up for the film.
